The Manager has appointed David W. Matre as Chief Financial Officer of TXCP. Mr. Matre was formerly the Vice President and Treasurer of Midas International Corporation, a NYSE-listed Itasca IL-based company with over $200 million in annual revenues. Prior thereto, Mr. Matre held various senior financial positions in early stage, pre-IPO and publicly traded high growth companies. Mr. Matre is a highly-experienced, results-oriented financial professional, whose 18 year career has demonstrated a track-record in strategic planning, mergers & acquisitions, financial reporting, and domestic and international banking. He is a proven-leader in capital market transactions, financial analysis, corporate cash management, and in actively-managing multiple projects/companies simultaneously in a portfolio approach. His professional accomplishments includes work at several software companies where he participated in the due diligence, documentation, consolidation, and operating integration of over twenty public and private company acquisitions, which facilitated the aggressive growth and ultimate sale of these companies to strategic investors. He will oversee the financial reporting and operations of TXCP, provide financial oversight functions to each of the component-company investments in each Series, and carry out other responsibilities as required by the Manager. Mr. Matre has earned a Master of Business Administration degree from DePaul University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point. Laurance Lewis The Manager has appointed Laurance Lewis to serve as Executive Vice President for selected TXCP funds, as the Property Manager for selected properties including the firm's Polk Street Facility, and as our exclusive in-house real estate broker for TXCP real estate acquisitions and dispositions. For the past 14 years, Mr. Lewis has applied his skills and considerable negotiation and deal-structuring experience in Law, Telecommunications, and Corporate Real Estate, for the benefit of his clients, and the company he founded, Aggregate Networks. Most recently, Mr. Lewis specialized in real estate related functions primarily for telecommunications and high-tech companies on a national and international basis, including AT&T Wireless, Honeywell, Inc., NationsBank, Executone Information Systems, McLeodUSA, Switch & Data Facilities Co., Intermec Corporation, Octel Communications Corporation, USN Communications, and others. In the course of representing such clients, he assisted with strategic planning, location and building analyses, lease negotiation, creation of purchase agreements and construction documents, and the identification/implementation of State and Local development incentives. Mr. Lewis was also the primary point of contact for a strategic alliance with McLeodUSA, one of the largest competitive local exchange carriers (CLECs) in America . Mr. Lewis received his undergraduate degree from the University of Iowa and obtained his Juris Doctorate (JD) from the University of Minnesota Law School. Mr. Lewis has been admitted to practice law before the Illinois Supreme Court and the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. He is an active member of the American and Chicago Bar Association, and has been a featured seminar speaker for the Real Property Section of the Chicago Bar Association.
